Watch adorable and adoptable puppies from the Coastal Humane Society frolic and play!

6:00pm, Food Trucks, Discovery Park
Pick up dinner from local food trucks and vendors for a picnic in the park, and then stay for a heartwarming presentation followed by a classic family movie.

7:00pm, Guest Speaker Craig Grossi & Fred, the Afghan, Discovery Park
“Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey” movie viewing, following Craig Grossi’s presentation, Discovery Park

8:00am, Save a Stray 5K Run Begins, Morse Street

8:30am, One Mile Walk Begins, Morse Street

9:00am, 5K Awards Ceremony, Discovery Park   
Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finisher in eight different age groups. Prizes will range from Honey Stinger apparel to L.L.Bean gift cards and everything in between!

9:30am, Dog Contests, Discovery Park
Think your dog is the best? Compete against other dogs and owners in these contests just for canines… and go home with prizes! Dog/owner pairs are welcome to compete in more than one category.

  • Best Dog/Owner Look-a-Like

Watch novice to seasoned dogs compete in a long jump, high jump and timed retrieval. Do you have a dog who loves to jump into the water? Sign them up at dockdogs.com or register them at the event!

11:00am – Noon, Ask a Veterinarian, Morse Street
Come ask a local vet questions regarding the care and health of your dog.

11:00am – 4:00pm, Planet Dog’s Bobbing for Orbees, Discovery Park
Visit the Planet Dog tent and let your dog try their luck at bobbing for recyclable, buoyant Orbees toys. Dogs who are successful will get a fun prize.

Noon – 12:45pm, K-9 Unit Demonstration, Discovery Park
Watch Freeport Police Officer Moorhouse and K-9 Cassie perform a live demonstration.

Noon – 2:00pm, Rabies PLUS! Clinic, Morse Street
All dogs in the state of Maine must be vaccinated against rabies every three years. Enjoy discounted costs today only!

1:00 – 2:00pm, Ask a Veterinarian with Dr. Mandie Wehr, Morse Street
Come ask a local vet questions regarding the care and health of your dog.

1:00 – 2:00pmAnimal Communication Seminar, Discovery Patio
Judy Garbow will explain how longevity and animal communication work together, using her nutritional training and life experiences to demonstrate how you can improve communication with your pets. Judy will also be available for pet readings before and following her seminar.

1:30 – 2:15pm, K-9 Unit Demonstration, Discovery Park
Corporal Small and K-9 Sampson from the Bath Police Department will give a demo on how specially-trained canine units are used in modern police work.

3:15 – 4:00pm, Search & Rescue Demonstration, Discovery Park
Spencer Fuller of Maine Search & Rescue will give a live demonstration of his dog in action.

Sunday, August 27
